A white Ford Explorer SUV is parked in front of a beach house. Inside the car, the windows are wiped down, the interior is dusted, leather seats are free of any spills, and the carpet is vacuumed with no stains. It’s a spotless car from the inside to the outside.
There is something unique about the person that drives it. In the back seat there is a sign that reads Amenities. There’s water, candy, snacks, gum, mints, tissues, wet wipes, a lint roller, hand sanitizer, Febreze, car sick bags, and acetaminophen. There’s even a tip jar for people that want to tip for great service.

Winter break is finally here and there are 11 days of it, so what are people going to do for those 11 days? Someone has to get bored eventually.
Some people don’t have much planned for the whole winter break. For example, sophomore Danielle Paules doesn’t really have much going on for the holidays.
“I like to spend time with my family and drink hot chocolate, but other than that I don’t have much planned for winter break,” Paules said.
So what are some things around here that get people into the holiday mood? Christmas in Hershey, where people go to experience the rides and witness over 4 million twinkling lights in Hershey Park.
If you want to stay in your car, you can drive through the Hershey Sweet Lights Display. “It’s a wonderful, sparkling journey driving through the lights,” Sophomore Tori Clark said about the lights display, “ My family and I really enjoyed it.”
There is also Christmas Magic in York at Rocky Ridge. It’s a half-mile trail displaying more than 600,000 lights and has also has been named one of the top 13 events in York county.
There are a lot of things that you can do over this break, such as take a walk around and breathe in the crisp, jolly air.
Another classic winter-time activity is to watch a seasonal movie. There are tons of holiday movies out there such as “Elf”, “A Christmas Story”, and even “The Polar Express”. Drink some hot cocoa and spend time with the people who mean the most.
“I love waking up on Christmas morning and opening the presents under my tree,” Freshman Nevaeh Dehoff said. “I love being with my loved ones and baking tons of food with my mom.”
Be sure to not only spend time with family and friends over break, but also find some time for yourself where you can relax. Don’t let the pressures of school become too overwhelming, and have a happy holiday.

Aloha! The Island of Maui, Hawaii is the most beautiful place in the world. My family and I rode on a plane for 13 hours and arrived in Maui, Hawaii on May first. Although it was extremely long, it was definitely worth the flight.
In my opinion Maui, Hawaii is the nicest island of Hawaii. Palm trees take up every corner on the streets of Hawaii and Hibiscus flowers, the most beautiful flowers in the world are found in Hawaii are constantly blooming. Kuku flowers, pink cottage roses, and the most famous, Hawaiian flower which you will find in colors varying from orange, purple, pink and yellow.
Not only is the island a beautiful, the people make it so much more beautiful. Everywhere you would walk, there would be people with smiles on their faces, waving or just saying hello. Not only that, but the employees were especially friendly. They always make the tourists feel welcome and made sure that they were having a great time.
The sun is always shining in Hawaii and they haven’t gotten rain in 7 months, I guess that explains why the people are so friendly.
In Hawaii, there is something called getting “leid.” Getting “Leid” means that when you’re walking around in Hawaii, the Hawaiians put a fresh lei around your neck. There is a unique history to leis in Hawaii and the myth is that those beautiful flowers bring everybody automatically to a great mood.
The volcanoes, mountains, flowers, and the beautiful fresh, clear water can ensure you a great trip to Hawaii, I know I had the time of my life!
