With prom right around the corner, seniors excitedly await the memorable night “under the sea.” Dresses, ties, and sea-themed decorations are all sights to see at this upcoming event.
This year’s prom will be held at the Country Club of York April 8. A night of dancing, dressing up, and diving into fun awaits.
Every student has their own favorite part of prom. “I'm looking forward to getting dressed up with my friends,” senior Erin Sciortino said. Her favorite part of the night is doing her hair and nails with her friends that she's attending prom with.
An additional part of preparing for prom is deciding where to go for dinner. “I can't wait to go out to dinner,” senior Aidan Nelson said. “Getting food with my friends before the dance is gonna be fun.”
Students said a few hotspots to go for pre-prom dinner are The White Rose, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, or Red Lobster.
“Finding a nice place to go for food beforehand is always fun,” senior Hank Shultz agreed, “I'm not too sure where we're going to go yet.”
Other students said they are looking forward to spending the night with their friends and significant others, as the event sets the perfect tone to have fun with close ones.
“I'm excited to spend time with my girlfriend,” senior Xavier Geesey said. “That's the best part of the night.”
Tickets were sold in the Commons during lunch periods for $40 a piece. If seniors wished to bring a guest, they were able to fill out a guest form prior to buying their tickets.
