By Carrie Knight Multimedia Editor Junior Cassidy Graham was the female student of the month for September. Cassidy works hard to excel in her school work but also in her extracurricular activities. “I try to be the best I can be by studying, and staying focused all year,” said Cassidy. In the near future Cassidy hopes to further her education at a four year college, to major in journalism. Her extracurricular activities include Executive Council, Concert Choir, Varsity Club, and varsity football cheerleading. She also holds a leadership position in two of the clubs. She is the class of 2019 vice president and a quartermaster for Concert Choir. Outside of school Cassidy is involved in baton, since she was five years old. She has been awarded many titles at the local and state level. In 2016, she was awarded a title on the national level, Drum Majorettes of America and was also awarded Teen Majorette Queen.
Her current favorite class is Concert Choir. She is also looking forward to the second semester of the year to begin journalism. In her free time, Cassidy enjoys going to church, running, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family. Cassidy will soon be visiting her best friend, who is graduating from basic training for the Army, which she is very excited for. Cassidy’s role model and inspiration is her father. “He is determined in everything he does and he is always there for me when I need him.”
