Co-Editor-In-Chief The Lady Lions snapped Dover's win streak Friday night in an epic YAIAA match-up. The Lady Eagles entered the game with an impressive resume of not only a large win streak, but an undefeated record making them the No. 1 team in the league. Dover's Megan Lokhaiser promised competition for the Lady Lions as she registered a 3-pointer in her team's opening possession. However, it didn't take long for Red Lion's Courtney Dimoff to break Dover's only lead of the night as she responded with a trifecta of her own, accepting the challenge. Devan Horka continued to keep the hosts' offense alive as she registered nearly half of her team's first-half points, putting the Lady Lions ahead by 7 at the end of the second quarter. Dover's Alayah Hall was committed to respond to the deficit her team was facing but simply could not meet the net as Red Lion's defense remained relentless in the second half. The charity stripe wasn't a solution for Hall as she only went 3 for 8 coming out of the locker room. One of Hall's opportunities arose with less than 20 seconds left in regulation as she was awarded a pair. Hall could only sink 1-of-2 forcing the game to go into overtime. Morgan Kuehne continued to prove to be the catalyst for her team in the game's extra period as she scored all five of the Lady Lions' points. Dover's Lindsey Fowler tried to keep up, but her 3 points were not enough to keep the Eagles' win streak alive.
