By Marissa Burd Junior Editor-in-Chief For the past three years, the senior executive council has planned many events to take place this year. Now, they make their final touches. Over a time span of nearly four years, the current senior class executive council has planned some of the most anticipated events for seniors.
This school year was used to plan the details of each event, such as the date and location. Past years were spent fundraising in order to lower the costs that come along with the events. In terms of the class trip, the senior executive council decided on Six Flags. The amusement park has various locations, the closest being Maryland and New Jersey. Six flags has been a popular location for past Red Lion senior class trips. Over the past years, prom has been held at the Country Club of York and at the Valencia Ballroom. However, prom of 2018 will be held at The Bond, located on East King Street in Downtown York. “It is more modern and it’s kind of edgy,” said class secretary Isabelle Kocman, when describing the venue. “It’s really different from anything else anybody else has done.” Students attending the dance will decide that night, May 5 who will be crowned the Prom King and Queen.
