Junior Chloe Wise was one women chosen for the Rotary’s February student of the month. She has many interests in and outside of school, and is well-rounded student.
She has been in band since fourth grade and plays the clarinet.
Wise is also a chair of mini-THON, and joined the fight because of her cousin.
“My cousin had brain cancer when she was a toddler, so I think it’s a really good cause.”
She is a leader of the science olympiad as well and helps her team prepare for various competitions.
She would like to attend Millersville University to become a history teacher, or HACC to become a nurse. If she goes into the history field, she wants to teach American history because her dad used to take her on tours of different historical hotspots.
“I like helping people, both of my parents are teachers which made me want to be a teacher growing up.”
With her church, Wise decided to go on more than a few mission trips. They have built decks, roofs, done indoor work, porches, scraping, painting, and flooring. They traveled to Tennessee, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and parts in Pennsylvania.
When asked who her inspiration was, she said it was her aunt because she is a good role model, a nice person, and she has always gotten through the troubles in her life.

Junior Julie Tran strives to do well in school. “I’d say my parents are my inspiration,” Tran said. “They immigrated to America and grew up not having much.” Julie hopes to do well in her future and sets high standards for what she can achieve.
Since junior high, Julie has obtained distinguished honor roll status.
She is involved in the upcoming school musical “The Music Man” in the pit orchestra. She’s also in mixed chorus, orchestra, string ensemble, and the aevidum club. Julie is very music-oriented, and has played the violin since third grade.
Her involvement in extracurricular activities is only one of the many reasons why she was chosen for February student of the month.
In her spare time, Julie enjoys going shopping at Park City Mall or reading. She enjoys reading sci-fi or fiction novels the most. She also has an interest in music and listening to a variety of artists.
Her favorite subjects include math, chemistry, or biology. Which is why she hopes to major in chemistry or pre-med if the program is available at her future college.
Julie hopes to attend the Ivy league University of Pennsylvania as her ultimate goal. “That’d probably be a dream school,” Tran said. She aims to continue her work ethic in college and hopefully get into the college of her dreams.
