By Carrie Knight Multimedia Editor Morgan Schafer, was titled as one of the two Rotary Students of the month for March. Morgan is very involved with the music department at Red Lion. She plays the bass clarinet in the marching band, is a member of concert band, and has also been in the school musical for 3 years, and this year she had the opportunity to be a student director.
Within school she also participated in Science Olympiad, Physics Olympics, and is a member of National Honor Society. In Morgan’s free time, you can find her reading a good book, watching SNL, or hanging out with friends and family. She also really enjoys travelling. Her favorite classes up to this point in high school have been math-related, specifically geometry and trigonometry. “I enjoy math because there is always an answer, and it’s easy to check your work,” she said. She plans to attend a four year university after high school to major in engineering. Morgan looks up to her older sister as her role model. “She excelled in school, and she was really involved, which is encouraging.” How does Morgan Strive for success? “I study, work hard, and hold myself to a high standard,” she said.
