By Carrie Knight Multimedia Editor Esperanza Trevino was titled as one of the two Dallastown Red Lion Rotary April students of the month. She is very involved inside and outside of school. Within school Esperanza is a member of National Honors Society, and also a tutor for Windsor Manor. Outside of school Esperanza is on her church worship team, she babysits, and also is a member of the interscholastic equestrian association.
Esperanza’s favorite classes include Spanish and math. “I Like math because you always get an exact answer,” Esperanza said. “I also enjoy learning about the Spanish culture and the language.” Esperanza plans to attend a university to obtain a degree in counseling or therapy. She hopes to be able to incorporate horses into this field of study. Her role model is her grandmother. “She is just the sweetest person, she is so strong in her faith, and she doesn’t talk bad about anyone,” Esperanza said. In her free time Esperanza enjoys babysitting and spending time her with family, especially her cousins. She also often goes to the farm she rides horses. What does Esperanza devote her success to? “Whatever I do I do to the best of my ability, and I rely on my faith one hundred percent.”
