April Students of the Month

Every month, the Rotary Club of Red Lion and Dallastown chooses two Red Lion students to be honored at one of their meetings. Students Zaire Roberts and Brady Smith have been chosen for the month of April. 
Zaire Roberts

Zaire Roberts was chosen as the April student of the month for her academics and volunteering for school. 

She has always loved art and began taking classes for it, “I wanted to draw better and I ended up really enjoying it,” Roberts said. 

She is apart of the National Art Honors Society due to her passion and talent for art. She as also been on honor roll for the past three years and volunteered at the Veteran Affairs.

In the VA she helps veterans and spends time with them. Music is what inspires her and it’s usually what she uses as a topic for her artwork.

Roberts enjoys spanish very much and is currently taking Spanish 4. She would like study Linguistics or Spanish as a foreign language.

“I think culture is cool,” Roberts said. “I love learning about the different ones.” 

Since Roberts has a big interest in language, she would like to travel to different countries and use her knowledge. 

​“I wouldn’t mind taking a gap year to travel, but you need money for that,” Roberts laughed. ​

Brady Smith

​Junior Brady Smith has obtained an honor roll status for his entire school career. His favorite school subjects involve math or history class. 

He also played golf and was involved in track during his junior year. Due to these statistics alongside his academic standards, Brady has been proclaimed student of the month for April.


Smith has a passion for being in the outdoors. “I like to do pretty much anything outside.” Smith said. He enjoys hunting and fishing. In his spare time, he also likes to play baseball. 


Two of Brady’s grandfathers served in both the navy and army. He claims these family members as his inspiration to serve his country and be in the air force.


After high school, he hopes to attend Penn State University to continue his schooling..


​“I want to join a reserved officer training course to be an airforce pilot,” Smith said. “I want to serve my country.” He even has experience with once flying a helicopter. He hopes to go to flight school and continue the legacy of his grandparents.
