Staff Writer Mr. Jeff Sicher, one of the many dedicated staff members at Red Lion, has 22 years of teaching experience. However, that’s not all he does. Mr. Sicher, one of the electronics and wood shop teachers at Red Lion, spends the free time that he has, either being an ordained minister, selling houses through ReMax, flipping houses, laying bricks or making hot sauce. “Go big or go home,” Mr. Sicher said. “You’re never too old to start something new.” In his earlier years he helped lay the bricks for Milton Hershey’s house. He still remembers seeing the trolleys drive by their workplace every day. About two weeks ago he had the pleasure of marrying a young couple along with closing the sale on three houses last month. He’s even getting the chance to sell a house to a bishop right now. Aside from his occupations, one of his all time favorite hobbies is making hot sauce. He can make between 20-180 gallons of hot sauce per year. Overall, teaching and being a real estate agent are at the top of his list due to the public service aspect of it. “The amount of gratitude I get from helping people is amazing,” Mr. Sicher said. “Seeing them go on to a college or tech school is an awesome experience.” He will never get tired of helping people out. “You only go around once, might as well pack in as much as possible.” Mr. Sicher said.
