The indoor season is shorter and clearly takes place inside, opposed to a normal fall season where the crowd watches the band and guard perform on the field. The performance song is just one – typically a popular song that might be on the radio which replaces the bands instrumentals. The girls feel more comfortable being able to play a CD instead of having to rely on the band.
The Elite Stars first competition was on January 26 at Hempfield, and they usually compete on Saturdays with teams out of Harrisburg. Mr. A is hoping to be able to take the girls to Wildwood New Jersey for the first weekend in May, in order to do a weekend competition where they will be competing twice.
He says, “It all depends on their talent, but we teach teamwork here. We just want you to come out, have fun, and to build a great team.”
Senior Rhiannan Dibbon says, “It’s less bonding time, but it keeps up your skills for more experience, and everyone together is like a giant group of best friends.”
